Taren Tanner was the ‘gift that kept on giving’ when we were seeking to purchase a property within a tight budget suitable for developing a five star Bed & Breakfast in the Village of Pawling.  He was undaunted by the challenge, showing us existing properties on the market but also drawing on his extensive networks and relationships within the community to finally identify the perfect location, broker the purchase, and walk us through the closing process on a home that had not originally been listed.  Because the property had potential but needed extensive renovations, he guided us towards the right builder and architect and then went far above and beyond the normal scope of his responsibilities to help us work through all the Village of Pawling requirements to obtain zoning and other required approvals to open our business.  As newcomers to the community, we benefited from introductions Taren made for us among various civic and business leaders because of their high respect for him.  Taren is first and foremost a gentleman of great integrity, and secondly, an unusually creative and tenacious realtor who knows the market, has social media savvy, is honest and transparent in all his dealings, and treats his clients as though they were members of his own family.  Fourteen years later, I count Taren Tanner as one of my dearest friends who has been very present and supportive through the best of times, and the worst of times.  He has absolutely been the ‘gift that has kept on giving!’  I cannot recommend him highly enough.
